Rain (aka Sometimes Saying Nothing Says the Most, But Probably Not on a Podcast)

It's the Bluey episode that started in the gutter, but now all of us are looking up at the double rainbows. 

Rain has so much meaning for Kate and co - and especially in a week where rain and memories are coming down hard. 

There's also (Mary butchering) the Serenity Prayer, the double rainbow meme (what does it mean?!), Oscar-winning Balance that wordlessly inspired this episode, and its link to this most televisual bit of Aussie music history. 

And, the girls don't get to say it, but how much is Rain a sequel to playing under the tap in Takeaway? (Flowers may bloom again, but a person never has a chance to be young again.) Hope you can hug your people young and old, and all go out and play in the rain.

Driving (aka Phone Handy in Case the Game Gets Boring)

Parents are used to having plenty of purpose, but Gotta Be Done wonders about the bored side-effects of the busy. 

Also, Driving takes Kate and Mary to wild workplaces where staplers are tied down, bangers in the Blueyverse and beyond (like Lollipop Lollipop in Dance Mode Bluey!), and the cats that pee/ scratch/ are the embodiment of evil in a dogs' world.

Sheep Dog (aka If Fish Mullets Had Hair It Would Probably Be Long at the Back?)

No doubt Sheep Dog contains important lessons, but is this Bluey at its most simplistic? (Context, text and subtext: Mums just need 20 minutes, dammit!)

Kate and Mary wonder what needs more explaining, mullets or shearers (and wonder if there's cutting-room-floor tape of Lucky's Dad singing Click Go the Shears??), delight in the Wendy redemption arc, and get excited about new voice Emily Taheny (just as her genius array of characters on Mad As Hell disappear from Australian screens, sob!)
